Eligibility criteria
Applicants must:
be ordinarily resident in Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, or Zambia
apply to and be offered a place to study a three-year or four-year programme at College in the faculties of Engineering, Natural Sciences or the Imperial College Business School
demonstrate significant financial need, i.e. inability to meet the costs of studying at College
demonstrate the potential to become leaders in their chosen fields and contribute to the future development of their home country.
It is unlikely that Parents/Guardians/Sponsors with an annual gross household income above US$100k will qualify.

Application process
1. Register on The Beacon Scholarships and download a Nomination Form.
2. Applicants must apply to College by 18:00 (UK local time) on 31 January 2025. If you're unsure of how to apply, see our step-by-step guide.
3. Beacon invites eligible offer-holders to complete the full Beacon Scholarship Application Form and Financial Disclose (January - mid-April).
4. Shortlisted candidates invited for Beacon interview and assessment.
Additional information
Value of Scholarship
Beacon and College will each contribute 50% of the tuition fees at the overseas rate.
The Scholar (including their family or sponsor) will pay all living costs including accommodation, subsistence, airfares, visa, health surcharges and all other incidental costs related to study in the United Kingdom.
